All I wanted was a new Juri icon, but then somehow I turned that into drawing all the SF4 girls in 120x120 pixel art and uh

in general the older games were done up graphically by actual artists, meaning they spent the time needed to really learn their craft.

i just did this now. i edited the original sprites to convey the same kind of idea while generally looking much, much better. this wasn’t hard at all. this was not hard. at all.
pixel art is about using pixels to try to create the illusion of form. it’s like sculpting out of marble. i can tell the undertale sprite is like, fucking drawn using a 1x pencil tool, absolutely no care was put into making it look good. and even if it was “meant to look shitty to be endearing”, it doesn’t. it just looks shitty.
i think fez pisses me off more because what i did was just a fucking reshade. i tweaked some of the limbs to make them more readable and make the stance less odd but for the most part it’s just a reshade. i upped the contrast, gave it a bit of color, and wow, it looks a lot better!
i just dont understand why it’s so hard to just… learn what you’re doing before you do it. people do that for other artistic mediums.. pixel art isn’t exempt from this
Tried more pixelling, this time of Aberra doing a stance change.
this took days to do
Heres some awesome music to go with!

F-L-O-W-E-R ADVENTURE
My new favourite Kirby boss~
Original size:

I started drawing Undertale sprites and I couldn’t stop ;-;
Undertale owned by Toby Fox, etc. etc.
A little RT pixel!

This is for my pals that I have drawing O+K and for anyone else that might want to draw them. The turntable is for size comparison and overall details and the pixel ref is the first one that I drew of them and it holds their finer details.
I haven’t thought too too much about their personalities cause I don’t have a lot of time but basically -
Orog: Female frog who is cheerful, adventurous, happy, and all those positive attributes.
Krue: Male crow who is hesitant, fearful, kinda grumpy, and all those slightly more negative attributes (but he’s still good though idk haha)
And they’re always together and Krue is pretty much always on Orogs back.
